Varuna received 119 manuscripts from writers across Australia for the 2020 Publisher Introduction Program. The manuscripts were each double-read in the first selection process, and a longlist was read by all three assessors (Alex Craig, Louise Thurtell and Mark O’Flynn). The shortlisted manuscripts have been circulated to our participating publishers for their final selection.

We really appreciate the efforts of all the writers who submitted their manuscripts for the fellowship, and we regret that unfortunately, we don’t have the resources to provide individual feedback to all applicants. However, our assessor comments may be of interest. Keep writing!
