PART-TIME BOOKKEEPER ROLE

Due to an upcoming retirement, we’re looking for a bookkeeper to join our team.  

This is a permanent part-time role of 10 hours per week, to be worked over two days, with some working from home available. The start date is flexible, but would ideally be mid-February to early March 2025. Lots of on-the-job skills development is available for the right person.

Responsibilities include: 

  • End-to-end payroll processing, and monitoring of all staff awards and conditions

  • Accounts payable, including supplier payments and creditor reconciliations

  • Accounts receivable, including following up payments

  • Bank reconciliations, including Stripe, PayPal and third-party payment portals

  • Administration of super, workers comp, insurances and term deposits

  • End-of-month journals and accruals

  • Preparation of BAS/IAS/PAYG, including reconciliation of all GST and payroll liabilities

  • ACNC and donations reporting

  • Assisting the Executive Director to prepare financial reports and budgets

  • ATO liaison as required

  • Preparation of documents for annual audit 

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping, or an accounting degree

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development

  • Strong working knowledge of MYOB, QuickBooks or Xero

  • Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping experience, including payroll

  • Proficiency with Excel

  • High attention to detail and excellent communication skills

  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality
