Pitch Me! 2022
Congratulations to the two recipients of our 2022 Pitch Me! fellowship. This is the first year of the program, and Varuna acknowledges the support of Ultimo Press and Left Bank Literary in its establishment.
In 2021/22, our publisher is Alex Craig at Ultimo Press and the publishing agent for this program is Grace Heifetz of Left Bank Literary.
Out of the 39 submissions, the two Pitch Me! recipients for 2022 are:
· Liz Evans for her novel, Catherine Wheel.
· Maddie Godfrey for their poetry collection, Dress Rehearsals.
Varuna would also like to congratulate the following shortlisted applicants:
· Amanda Webster for her novel, The Anatomy of Love.
· Amy Lovat for her novel, Halfway to Nowhere.
Each fellowship recipient will receive:
· An extended editorial conversation with either Alex Craig or Grace Heifetz, focusing on developing work with a view to publication.
· A $2,000 development payment. This payment can be used for editorial or mentoring advice, or for helping find time and space to concentrate on writing.
· (Optional) A one-week residency at Varuna.
