2024 Pitch Me! Recipients Announced

Congratulations to the two recipients of our 2024 Pitch Me! fellowship. Our publisher Aviva Tuffield from UQP and publishing agent Grace Heifetz of Left Bank Literary read through 47 submissions to each select a writer for an extended editorial conversation, as well as a stipend for costs and writing time, and a week at Varuna to work on their manuscripts.

The two Pitch Me! recipients for 2024 are:

·      Anne Myers for her memoir, The Little Ones.

·      Izzy Roberts-Orr for her poetry collection, Medusa is a Modern Woman.

Varuna would also like to congratulate the following shortlisted applicants:

·      Christine Evans for literary fiction River & Maude.

·      Dani Powell for literary fiction The Weight of Birds.

·      Hanne Watkins for crime fiction DIY.
