2023 Cove Park Fellowship Recipient

Thank you to everyone who applied for this international fellowship. The judging panel were impressed with the high standard of the applications received, and it is heartening to see Varuna alumni representing all that is good in contemporary Australian writing.

We are thrilled and delighted to announce the recipient of the Cove Park International Fellowship is respected Wiradjuri writer, poet and academic Jeanine Leane, who will be taking part in a four-week residency in Cove Park, Scotland in August/September 2023. She will also be involved with the Edinburgh International Book Festival.

Applications were judged on artistic merit and the professional opportunities presented by the Cove Park residency. The final decision was made by Alexia Holt, Acting Director at Cove Park and Tamara Zimet, Programme Director at Edinburgh International Book Festival.
