Queensland Writers Centre Fellowships
Open to members of the Queensland Writers Centre, the Queensland Writers Centre is offering two fellowships - one for an established writer and another to an established or emerging writer from underrepresented groups - which include a two-week residency at Varuna and covers travel costs and manuscript consultation.

Residency dates: The two-week residencies will take place any time in the 12 months following the date of the offer.
Places: Two writers will be selected - an established writer and an emerging/established writer from underrepresented groups.
Who should apply: Members of the Queensland Writers Centre who are established writers or emerging writers from underrepresented groups.
Fees: There are no application fees for this program. Applicants who are not members of Queensland Writers Centre can apply for membership as part of their application. The recipients will also receive support for reasonable travel costs.
This opportunity for a two-week residency, including travel costs and manuscript consultation, is open to members of the Queensland Writers’ Centre.
Queensland Writers Centre offers the following two Varuna fellowships:
The Queensland Writers Centre Established Writers Fellowship is open to established writers with at least one publication.
The Queensland Writers Centre Underrespresented Writers Fellowship is open to established or emerging writers from underrepresented groups.
Each of these Fellowships include a two-week residency at Varuna, with full board and accommodation including a prepared evening meal, uninterrupted time to write in your own private studio, a one-hour mentoring session with a writing consultant, and the companionship of your fellow writers.
