Over the years, many people have volunteered their time at Varuna and this in-kind support is invaluable to the on-going development of what Varuna does.
There are many ways you can join in.
For instance, every Monday between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm you can enjoy convivial company, (along with a cup of hot tea and a sticky bun) whilst doing light work in the beautiful Varuna house and gardens.
IN THE GARDEN: Working in the company of Rod Dark helping to maintain the rambling gardens of Varuna.
IN THE LIBRARY: Working with a small and dedicated group to maintain the order and integrity of the Dark collection.
SPECIAL EVENTS: We also need all hands on deck for special events such as the Varuna Sydney Writers’ Festival and spring working bees in the garden.
We appreciate your time.
One group of volunteers is the Quilts and Coffee Group, in the Ladies Probus Club of the Upper Blue Mountains. Recently, the group made a quilt and gave it to Varuna for fund-raising purposes. The same group is currently carrying out repairs to the quilts at Varuna, The Writers’ House. For the full story, click here.
