Varuna with Sydney Writers’ Festival – Blue Mountains Program, 16-19 May 2015

Autumn is in the air... bringing the promise of the Varuna with Sydney Writers’ Festival - perfect weather for reading, thinking and writing.
Keep your calendars free for Varuna’s four-day Blue Mountains Program of the Sydney Writers Festival, 16-19 May.

At the House – Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May
At the Carrington – Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 May

AT THE HOUSE - Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 May, 10am-4.30pm

Enjoy a rare opportunity to visit Varuna, the National Writers’ House during our weekend program:
• Wander through the gardens and experience the Whispering Trees – an atmospheric sound installation featuring the words of local poets.
• Take part in a writing workshop or engage in a panel discussion in the House.
• Be inspired by readings and storytelling around a fire-pit in the garden.

AT THE CARRINGTON - Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 May, 10am-7pm

Settle into the art deco elegance of the Carrington’s Grand Dining Room and immerse yourself in two days of readings and conversation with writers… to inspire, stimulate and provoke. This year’s lineup includes both national and international award winning authors and several of the Guardian’s best book picks for 2014, and a compelling 2015 Dr Eric Dark Memorial Lecture.
