Congratulations to Tangea Tansley

Congratulations to Alumni Tangea Tansley on her short story award and audio book production.

Short story winner: Thrilled to be able to say that “My Mother Was a Russian Spy” – a short story inspired by the glimpse of a hand-written sign nailed to a tree on the roadside not far from home – has won the Launceston Tasmania Literary Award for 2015.

Audio book for the blind: In another piece of news, my novel Out of Place is being produced as an audio book by VisAbility WA (formerly the WA Association for the Blind). In an early connection with Varuna, Out of Place was shortlisted in a Penguin-Varuna manuscript competition as ‘Lines in the Sand’.
