For the 4 weeks of the residency she worked on the study of colonial female artists who lived or travelled to Central Australia at the turn of the 20th century. This project has its roots in a deep interest of people, country and history that has been growing over many years of visiting Alice Springs. Reflections of her time at Hill End, as well as some images created there, are presented in the November issue of Art Monthly. The article includes a poem by Leni Shilton (Pam's sister and fellow alumni) written in response to Pam's work. French was a finalist in the NSW Parliament and Mosman Art Prize exhibitions and her solo exhibition 'Drawn through the year' was recently on show at the NERAM, Armidale.
